He then completed a 3-year fellowship in cardiology at St.Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts in 2013.

With years of experience in his field, the doctor is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world. 

Certified through the National Board of Echocardiography and the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology, Dr. Koci performs non-invasive testing including stress testing. He also performs echocardiographic services in both office and hospital settings, while performing invasive trans-esophageal echocardiograms and cardioversions at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, The Miriam Hospital, and Landmark Medical Center. Furthermore, he performs pacemaker and defibrillator interrogations, and ECG/holter/event monitor interpretation.

Cardiology is a branch of medicine that deals with the disorders of the heart, as well as the circulatory system. The field includes medical diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, and electrophysiology.
