Award-winning photographer and author Ramakant Sharda has just launched his book Mastering High-Speed Photography. This step-by-step guide is intended to share techniques and ideas with photography beginners to help them capture unique and high-quality photos.

More information is available at http://masteringhighspeedphotography.com

The newly launched book Mastering High-Speed Photography is intended for all audiences and includes ideas and basics for all photography levels to begin understanding the fundamentals of this specific and attention-drawing type of photography.

Among those basics are detailed breakdowns of the correct camera equipment, like the lens, flash, and camera, the importance of setup images to make the shoot easier, camera and trigger settings, and a breakdown of a typical production workflow. Examples of the application of this style of photography are included, such as kaleidoscopic colors, prismatic crowns, magnificent refractions, and whirling rainbows.

The just-released guide Mastering High-Speed Photography is written by award-winning photographer Ramakant Sharda, who draws on his own experience in leading photography workshops and creating three coffee table books about photography called Frozen Moments, Ephemeral, and The Third Dimension to guide readers in their own learning.

Included in this now-available guide to ultra-high-speed photography are detailed diagrams that aim to explain to readers the function of certain camera elements, including aperture and shutter speed.

The guide’s list of available commercial equipment used in the photography process is intended to save the reader time from doing the research themselves, allowing them to focus more on the process of learning the new skill.

Erkan Yiğiter, Co-Founder & CTO of MIOPS Camera Trigger shared his thoughts on the book. “If you want to be part of this magical photography area but don’t know where to start, this unique source would be a bedside book for you. Ramakant did a great job by writing this book to share his expertise on high-speed photography and I am sure it will inspire many photographers from amateur to professional. In this book, you will find lots of great high-speed photography examples with all details of the setup and camera settings.”

Oturu scores 30 as Minnesota beats No. 19 Michigan 75-67

Oct 25, 2020

MINNEAPOLIS — Daniel Oturu shook off an injury and had a career game to help Minnesota take down another ranked opponent. Oturu scored a career-high 30 points and the Gophers went on a late 11-0 run to beat No. 19 Michigan 75-67 on Sunday. The sophomore center had 20 points in a dominant first half, and he continued his roll with six quick points after the break. But with 14:35 remaining, he hit the deck hard while fighting for a rebound. He stayed on the floor for nearly five minutes, clutching his left shoulder as a hush fell over the...

Bey scores 33, leads No. 16 Villanova past Georgetown 80-66

Oct 25, 2020

PHILADELPHIA — Saddiq Bey hit eight 3-pointers and scored a career-high 33 points to lead No. 16 Villanova to an 80-66 win over Georgetown on Saturday. Bey, a 6-foot-8 sophomore forward, hadn't been much of a 3-pointer shooter this season for the Wildcats (12-3, 3-1 Big East). He'd made only 21 and four of those came in a nonconference game against Ohio. He shot just 3-for-10 overall in a win this week at Creighton, hardly a sign he was about to bust out with a career game against the Hoyas (11-6, 1-3). Left open, and determined to shoot, Bey had...

Former UConn coach Jim Calhoun earns 900th career win

Oct 25, 2020

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. — Jim Calhoun’s 900th win looked like so many others during a Hall of Fame coaching career. He stomped. He screamed. He slammed objects. The only real difference is the sideline he now controls. The longtime Connecticut coach added another milestone Friday night when the University of Saint Joseph beat Pratt Institute 105-61. Now in his second season coaching in Division III, Calhoun joined Mike Krzyzewski, Jim Boeheim and Bob Knight — all former rivals and national champions at college basketball’s highest level — as the only coaches to coach at least 10 seasons in Division I...

Stewart leads way in Washington's 72-40 blowout of USC

Oct 25, 2020

SEATTLE — After a lackluster thud to begin Pac-12 Conference play, Washington rebounded with its biggest conference blowout in nearly a decade. Isaiah Stewart scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, Quade Green added 14 points and Washington rebounded from a loss to open conference play with a 72-40 romp over Southern California on Sunday night. Stewart was again dominant on the interior despite sitting the final 9 minutes of the first half with foul trouble. The freshman post was 6-of-12 shooting and had two of Washington’s 12 blocked shots. Fellow freshman Jaden McDaniels added 11 points despite an off...

Grizzlies take advantage of George's absence to top Clippers

Oct 25, 2020

LOS ANGELES — Jae Crowder scored 27 points and the Memphis Grizzlies took advantage of Los Angeles star Paul George's absence to rout the Clippers 140-114 on Saturday. Jaren Jackson Jr. added 24 points, and Ja Morant and Dillon Brooks had 22 points each to help Memphis improve to 7-10 on the road with its highest scoring game of the season. Montrezl Harrell led the Clippers with 28 points, and Kawhi Leonard and Lou Williams added 24 points each. The team appeared out of sorts from the start without George. He sat out with left hamstring tightness and Los Angeles...
